Rooted in the principles of achievement in every field of human endeavor, Kappa Alpha Psi has become a pillar of mentorship, scholarship, and civic engagement across the world.

Our Founding & Mission

At a time when African Americans faced extreme racial and social barriers, ten visionary men led by Elder Watson Diggs came together to create a brotherhood built on leadership, perseverance, and community upliftment. Their mission was clear—to inspire young men of culture, patriotism, and honor to strive for greatness despite societal challenges.
Today, the fraternity upholds its founding mission by providing opportunities for collegiate and alumni members to grow as leaders, excel academically, and serve their communities with integrity.

The Guide Right Program

Kappa Alpha Psi’s national mentoring initiative, Guide Right, serves as the foundation for many of our youth-focused programs, including the Kappa League, which equips young men with the skills and leadership qualities needed to thrive in today’s society. Through education, career preparation, and service projects, Kappa Alpha Psi continues to uplift the next generation of achievers.

With over 700 active chapters worldwide, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has a rich history of producing leaders in business, law, medicine, education, politics, and public service. The fraternity’s influence extends beyond the collegiate experience, impacting communities through mentorship programs, youth initiatives, and civic outreach efforts.
